If you have a case in the Houston County Circuit Court before Judge Michael Conaway, be afraid. Be very afraid. The old adage about ignoring the law and paying attention to who the judge is clearly applies to you. Judge Conaway is a tyrant - plain and simple. And if you happen to be a black litigant going against a white person or a white attorney - you have a snow ball's chance in hell of seeing justice. Trust me I know first hand.
I saw Judge Conawy imprison a black attorney because the attorney failed to "promptly" pay a Court ordered fine? What in the hell does the term "promptly" objectively mean? It does not mean crap and any Court that has the balls to hold someone in contempt for not being "prompt" is pulling a fast one on you. Let me give you an example, if on Monday at 9:00 a.m., the Court ordered you to pay promptly pay a fine and you return the next day to pay the fine - well guess, what? A judge such as crooked Conaway, is free to say "Hey, you waited until Tuesday and that is not prompt." Hell, if you paid the fine at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, a crooked judge like Judge Conaway is free to say "Hey, you waited several hours and that is not prompt."
You see, by being vague in his orders, Judge Conaway retains the power to abuse you at his whim. That is the sign of a true tyrant. Of course, Judge Conaway knows this and it is precisely why his orders are vague - to give himself maximum power to adjudicate as he pleases.
Do not trust Judge Conaway any further than you can throw him. You have been warned!
